Design master Colin Chapman and engine maestro Keith Duckworth joined forces to produce the now legendary Lotus 49, a race car powered by the legendary Ford DFV which went on to achieve status as the most successful engine in Formula One Racing history.
The racer went from the drawing board in the concept room to the track in a staggeringly short matter of months and, unbelievably, won on 4 separate occasions during the 67′ Grand Prix season. Nine Days in Summer is a film documentary that charts one of the most extraordinary achievements in racing history in minute detail.
