The Pebble Beach Concours week of festivites is almost upon us, the classic car world’s biggest week of the year! Dozens of events will take place and thousands of collector cars will descend on the Monterey Peninsula for another example of the “this year outdoing the previous”. The auction houses are packing more punch than ever (no hyperbole, more money, more cars!) with a lineup of truly spectacular cars, above and beyond previous years both in the sheer intake of dollars expectation and the quality of the machines crossing the block. Not only have the auctions done their duty in offering something for everyone across all makes and models, they have also done what appears to be a fabulous job upping the level of the particular examples across the board from what we have seen in recent years.
As always, we bring you a full preview below of some of the most interesting and expensive cars you’ll find in and around the Monterey Peninsula this year! Links to the full auction listings from all major auction houses are provided along with a brief summary of what is on offer – and of course our rundown of Mercedes-Benz 300SL’s available for bidding on. Enjoy the weeks’ events for all of you who will be attending! Email Drew@ScottGrundfor.com if you’d like to say hi or discuss something we might be of service in providing regarding sales, acquisition or restoration.
