The classic car market as measured by the Historic Automobile Group Internatonal saw a small overall advance in June 2016 of 0.74% with the largest advance in the Mercedes-Benz Classic Index, which rose 3.48%. The largest decline was seen in the HAGI P index at -5.23% and there was a modest drop in the HAGI F index of -1.54%.
The overall classic car market has remained fairly flat, with year-to-date growth at 1.81%, and below trend for the average annual growth rates for the HAGI Index.
Additional information supplied below illustrates the impact of currency movements (GBP/EUR/US) on the HAGI Indices. With the Brexit vote having taken place near the end of June, next months statistics should provide a better indication of the impact on values. Note that the overall HAGI Index calculation is based on transactions in all currencies.
