1956 Ferrari 290 MM sells for just over $22M at The Petersen Automotive Museum Auction
December 8th marked the Petersen Automotive Museum Auction hosted by RM Sotheby’s, which saw a total sales just shy of $40 million dollars. This was RM Sothey’s final auction of the year and was highlighted by a 1956 Ferrari 290 MM, selling for a staggering $22,005,000 after some extensive bidding by three separate collectors.
A wide range of automobiles were on display and available to the highest bidders, from modern supercars to timeless classics. The styles and eras ran the gamut and delivered an intersting mix of viewing for those in attendance. An impressive finish to the 2018 RM Sotheby’s Auctions schedule.
