From 1920 to 1930, there was a clash of automotive titans taking place in the racing world, Bentley Versus Benz. In Britain’s corner you had the millionaire racers of Bentley, brashly telling reporters after conclusive victories that the only competition for themselves was in fact themselves. And in the other corner you had Mercedes-Benz and the Auto Union, the German juggernaut with Nazi backing who were becoming well known as a world giant in motor racing.
