He is remembered as the founder and proprietor of the automobile manufacturing company Automobiles E. Bugatti.
Born into an artistic family, Ettore Bugatti, with financial support from his father, began what would be an automotive odyssey in 1889 when he developed the prototype Bugatti Type 1. In 1909 he started Automobiles E. Bugatti, a company who would go on to produce a racing and production legacy that is still incredibly revered to this day. Ettore Bugatti died in 1947.
